Position Overview
As our Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for the entire supply chain management lifecycle for all company goods and services. While this role covers a broad range of suppliers and purchasing, it carries a primary and critical focus on IT supply chain management, which is the backbone of our business. You will be the central point for sourcing, negotiation, and management of everything from our data centre hardware and software to organisational needs, such as office furniture.
The ideal candidate has a deep background in IT procurement but is a skilled generalist who can apply supply chain principles across the entire organisation. Key to your role will be collaborating with and supporting stakeholders, including Product Managers, Data Centre Operations, and the Senior Leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Strategy and Principles
Embed our “we buy what we need” principle and our team spending process to support autonomy and scaling.
Manage the strategic sourcing of all technology, delivering a competitive advantage with a heavy focus on:
Server & storage hardware, as well as networking equipment.
Software licenses (e.g., operating systems, Microsoft Service Providers Licence Agreement).
Third-party services (e.g., domain registrars, SSL certificates, payment gateways).
Oversee procurement for corporate and operational needs, including office furniture, equipment, supplies, and other business services.
Vendor & Supplier Management
Act as the primary commercial and strategic point of contact for key vendors and suppliers, with a particular focus on our strategic technology partners.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements to ensure favourable outcomes and mitigate risk.
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across our entire supplier base.
Facilitate strong working relationships between our operational teams and vendor support contacts to ensure operational excellence.
Develop, maintain, and optimise our contract management system to ensure vendor agreements are effectively tracked, managed, and renewed in line with commercial and compliance requirements.
Inventory & Asset Management:
Assess, optimise and oversee our inventory management system, primarily for our critical technology hardware assets, from purchase through to retirement.
Work closely with Data Centre Operations and Product Managers to forecast hardware requirements and ensure we have the necessary equipment on hand to meet our growth plans.
Manage the commercial aspects of the hardware lifecycle, including warranties and maintenance renewals.
Spend Analysis and Efficiency
Partner with Finance and department leads to forecast spending and manage cash flow for all acquisitions.
Monitor and analyse procurement spend across all business units.
Leverage data analytics to provide insights, identify savings, and optimise spending patterns.
Introduce AI-driven tools to flag unusual or high-risk spending for proactive intervention.
Policy, Process and Governance
Continuously seek opportunities to enhance our supply chain processes, making them smarter, faster, and more scalable.
Review and simplify procurement policy documentation to ensure clarity and accessibility.
Ensure supply chain management processes align with regulatory, financial, and compliance requirements.
Innovation and Collaboration
Champion innovative supply chain management solutions and partnerships that aid in gaining a competitive advantage.
Collaborate with and support stakeholders to ensure procurement choices support xneelo’s product, infrastructure, and corporate needs.
Job requirements
A deep and demonstrable background in technology procurement (hardware, software, services) is essential for this role.
A proven track record of negotiating a wide variety of commercial contracts.
Strong financial literacy with direct experience in cash flow management and cost analysis.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to strike a balance between governance and empowerment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings simply and persuasively.
